Staff are appointed following a vigorous and careful selection process in accordance with Ofsted requirements, which includes obtaining an enhanced DBS and numerous references.
Parents can be assured not just of the experience and training of the staff caring for their children, but also the consistency of care including "wrap around care" when the children start school. That's why we take pride in the low staff turnover within our nursery with the majority of our senior staff having been in position for many years.
Our staff hold various accredited qualifications such as NVQ (levels 2, 3), NNEB, CACHE (level 3), BTEC and Degrees. We encourage staff to continue learning, to develop and update their skills by supporting them through training and attending a variety of Child Care Courses, both externally and in-house.
Staff are trained to have an understanding of Health and Safety and use this as they carry out daily risk assessments. Staff also regularly update and obtain Basic Food Hygiene, First Aid, Safeguarding and Fire Marshall certificates.
